Sunroof and Convertible Repairs
Sunroofs and convertibles are complex and malfunction for a number of reasons. We cannot guarantee accurate diagnosis of sunroof issues over the phone. All sunroof repairs will require on-site inspection for a proper diagnosis. Sunroof inspection cost R300 and usually takes less than one hour. If we do repair your sunroof, the diagnostic charge is fully applied towards the repair cost. Your sunroof can stop working for many other reasons including seized motors, broken track components, faulty switches and defective control modules. With a damaged sunroof assembly (ie: broken track components) we typically need to remove the entire assembly, in order to rebuild or replace it.
Service and Maintenance
We do all services and Maintenance to all Sunroofs. To prevent future sunroof problems, proper maintenance is very important. Keep the areas around the sun roof clean. Rubber seals can be cleaned with a mild soap and lint free cloth to keep debris from collecting between the seal and the window. In addition, it's important to clean the tracks of the sun roof. Lubrication of the inner tracks and sliding components will also help to maintain proper sunroof functionality.
Sunroof Curtain Instalations
We replace sunroof curtains that get damaged, tear or unwind.
This is caused by wind, cable jams and various other reasons.
Drain Unblocking
If your sunroof leaks, we can fix it! Whether dripping or gushing water, a sunroof leak is messy and ultimately damages your car's interior. There are several different causes of a leaky sunroof. While you might assume the rubber seal on your sunroof is damaged, it's usually not the cause of leaks. Most sunroof leaks occur because of clogs or damage in the drainage system of your sunroof. We're able clean out the drainage system and physically remove drain tubes to clear them of any debris. Drainage tube repairs often take less than an hour.
